Please join the massive hunt for the beloved Boxer named Duke. Dog and owner were involved in a head on collision on Sunday, March 1 near Redwater, Texas. Jeff Crosswhite and Daniel Squibb lost their lives in the accident. Duke was in the truck with Jeff and ran after the accident.

Friends, family and people who didn't even know Jeff are all helping to find Duke and bring him home. Duke will give the family of Jeff Crosswhite a link to the man they no longer have on this earth. The tragedy of the accident is more than many of us can bear and finding Duke will provide a great feeling of relief. Jeff would have wanted us to find his dog. I know this because Jeff was a friend of mine; a co-worker of mine; and a fellow dog lover. I miss Jeff terribly and like his family and friends, I could find comfort in giving Duke a hug.

Please help us find Duke. There is a Facebook group called Bring Duke Home to Jeff Crosswhite's Family. It is an open group and is being used to organize the search for Duke. Minute to minute updates are posted to this page.

Additionally, I should note there is a reward for the return of Duke if by chance someone has him and needs a monetary reason to return him. The pledges have the reward up to around $1,000. No one is collecting money for this reward yet so please be on notice that if someone approaches you asking for a donation to the fund, do not give it. Instead, check the Facebook page for updates.

There are three organizers of this process: Melanie Noble, Sara Caller and Mimi Campbell. There are way too many folks to list who are vital to the search for Duke but those three are the administrators on the page who are helping to keep information on the page.

Duke is a Boxer, 9 months old, approximately 50 pounds, wearing a dark blue and black collar and possibly a training collar that looks like it has a black box on it. Any possibly sightings should be reported to Melanie at 325-513-8788, Sara 903-335-9984 or Mimi at 903-244-9600 or can be posted on the Facebook page.

Jeff Crosswhite has many friends and family. I am so sorry for your loss. I grieve with you.

A Facebook post by search organizer Sara Caller:

"Please PLEASE don't forget Jeff's Memorial Fund, to cover his funeral expenses and take care of his family. Right now it only has $1140 in it! Teenager Daniel Squibb was also killed in the accident, and his GoFundMe Memorial is over $6000. Jeff left behind 3 daughters, a grandson, and his family needs our help! Please SHARE this - PLEASE donate, and show Jeff's family just how much he meant to us! When I went to find this one, I found a GoFundMe Cancer Fund that Jeff started for a friend of his just a few weeks ago - that's the kind of man he was. Loving, caring, and generous!"
