Adam Lambert fans are going to have to exercise a little patience, as the singer has to delay his new album ‘Trespassing.’ In a chat with Z100, the ‘Better Than I Know Myself’ singer revealed that the new release date is going to be sometime in “Mapril.” That portmanteau word means it’ll drop in either May or April, with no confirmed date scheduled as of right now.
In her chat with ‘60 Minutes,’ music’s favorite diva Adele gushed that she is madly in love with her new beau Simon Konecki and nothing, not even scooping up two armfuls of Grammys (going six-for-six in a sweep), can get in the way of Adele’s romantic happiness moving forward. Even if that means giving fans the silent treatment for several years. Adele? Going silent? Again? Say it ain’t so!
Whitney Houston‘s death may have hit her fans and ex-husband Bobby Brown hard, but perhaps no one is more devastated at Houston’s tragic passing at the age of 48 than her teenage daughter and sole offspring Bobbi Kristina.
The Hollywood rounds of ‘American Idol‘ have begun, and a whopping 68 contestants were sent home on the first day. The judges sifted through tons of talent, dashing dreams, breaking hearts and catering to possible future stars. It’s a hard shill being an ‘Idol’ judge, especially when you watch contestant Symone Black fall off the stage right in front of your face.
NBC and the NFL have issued separate, curt apologies over the fact that pop star M.I.A. gave the finger to the camera during her solo rap part, which was part of Madonna’s Super Bowl 2012 halftime performance.
M.I.A., who is rather anti-mainstream and rebellious, flipped off the camera and it was caught on tape and on camera. It was the only drama/hiccup/controversy during Madonna’s tame, but entertaining set.
Calling all little monsters. Forget Facebook. Toss Twitter. Move on from MySpace, if you haven’t already. The Mother Monster AKA Lady Gaga is launching her own social networking site that is specifically designed to create a community among little monsters and that which will allow some communication with Gaga herself.
‘American Idol‘ hopeful Britnee Kellogg turned in an impressive performance of ‘You’re No Good,’ since it was fraught with emotion over her personal circumstances. She is a 27-year-old single mom with two boys, who was married to a basketball player whose needs she put ahead of her own. His name is Matt Conboy, and was apparently a philanderer who eventually cheated, rubbing a big dash of salt in her fresh wounds. The show made him sound like he was an NBA player a la LeBron James, but we did a little digging, and we think this is the guy.
The sister of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and pop singer Aaron Carter has died. Leslie Carter, an aspiring singer whose song ‘Like Wow!’ appeared on the ‘Shrek’ soundtrack back in 2001, passed away last night (Jan. 31) in New York. She was just 25 years old. The cause of death has not been provided at press time.
Contestants on reality competition shows are usually required to sign confidentially agreements about pre-taped segments, so that eliminations and results that aren’t live remain a surprise to viewers. Looks like ‘American Idol‘ wannabe Amy Brumfield AKA ‘Tent Girl,’ who did such a good job with her rendition of an Alicia Keys song at the Savannah auditions, broke that rule and revealed that she has already been eliminated from the show. We just haven’t seen it yet.
