The Texarkana Symphony Orchestra presents 'The Music of John Williams' Saturday.

The Texarkana Symphony Orchestra will be performing the music of John Williams at the historic Perot Theatre on Saturday from 7:30 PM until 9:30 PM. John WIllimas has been one of my favorite composers since I was a child. Most of you know his great arrangements like this one.

He is also responsible for some great music in many famous films. His credits include all of the Stars Wars movies in the '70s and '80s. Indiana Jones movies, Close encounters of the Third Kind, Et The Extra-Terrestrial. Even Home Alone and Jurassic Park.

Basically, every good movie you grew up watching John Willimas did the music so now you know what will be presented at the concert.  The mission of the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra is to pursue, for all, the transformative power of symphonic music through excellence in live performance and education.

Did you know that the Perot Theatre once know as the Saenger Theatre when is opened in 1924 and is a Texarkana Historical Landmark? The theatre was restored in 1979 and early 1980 and is named the Perot theatre because of the contribution of the late Ross Perot and his sister Bette. They did it in memory of their parent's Mr. & Mrs. Gabriel Ross Perot.

You can find tickets for the performance here.
