‘Wonderland of Lights’ a Texas Christmas Tradition
Over the Thanksgiving weekend we had the chance to show off a little Texas tradition to some family members from Maine. We loaded up the vehicle and headed to Marshall, Texas for their Annual Wonderland of Lights.
The City of Marshall has been hosting this event since 1987. So, if you want to get into the Christmas spirit this little town will do it for you. The courthouse is beautifully lit up with tons of Christmas lights. You can get your picture taken with Santa in Santa's Workshop. There's also a craft area for the kids. Enjoy the ice skating rink, live entertainment, a carousel, carriage ride, train rides and more. Check out their calendar of events for more information and prices.
Open Sunday - Thursday 5-9PM.
Friday and Saturday 5-10PM.
The Wonderland of Lights runs through December 31 (closed on Christmas Eve)
Oh, and then be sure and drive around the town of Marshall as well because a lot of the neighborhoods get involved and put up some beautiful light displays.
