What Was Your Favorite Super Bowl Halftime Performance?

With all of the controversy with the recent Shakira and Jennifer Lopez Super Bowl halftime show, I wanted to know what was your favorite Super Bowl halftime show?

The Super Bowl has been around for quite some time but did you know that they didn't have much to do with pop stars until the 80's? In the 9170's it was mostly marching bands and some other specialty shows. Here is 'Up with People' and their 1976 Super Bowl performance.

The shows were pretty tame by today's standards with Country and an occasional pop star in there. But the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show changed everything. At the completion of the Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake performance Justin ripped a portion of Janet Jackson's top to reveal her breast.

For the next few years, the super bowl shows brought back classic artists like Paul McCartney and the Who. But in 2007 The NFL brought the one and only Prince to do the halftime show and it was one of the best ever. Here is a short video of the legendary performance in the pouring rain in Miami.

In the video, you can hear all of the details of the performance and how the show producers couldn't believe how no one was hurt or electrocuted during the show.
