Two Pet Adoption Events in Texarkana on Saturday

You can adopt a pet at PetSmart and Legendary Firearms in Texarkana on Saturday. Meet the animals and ask questions about their temperament to find out if you are the right match.

In addition to the normal location of PetSmart, Texarkana Animal League is hosting a special adoption event at Legendary Firearms, 101 Slaton Drive in Nash, Texas. Passion for Pooches and Little Paws Rescue will be at PetSmart. Texarkana Animal League will have puppies and small adult dogs at Legendary Firearms. Both events start at 10AM and end at 3PM.

Cats are also available to adopt from the cat room at PetSmart.

All dogs, cats and many puppies have been spayed or neutered and are current on vaccinations. Occasionally, puppies have been vaccinated, but not yet spayed or neutered. In these cases, a sterilization agreement is required as part of the adoption contract.

Rescues will have their adoptable dogs available to pet, visit with and ask questions about to see if the dog would be a good fit for your home. Adoption fees vary per dog and per rescue. Please consider adoption before buying a puppy or kitten. Adoption fees and donations will help the rescues in the care of their rescued animals as well as Texarkana Animal League's community outreach programs such as a low-income spay/neuter assistance program, rescue assistance program and foster care program.
