Now that the schools in the Texarkana Independent School district are closed for the remainder of the school year, what exactly does that mean for students?

In a recent email sent to TISD parents. The superintendent of TISD schools reminded them that The academic year is not over. Parents, guardians, and students will receive details regarding the next 'At-Home Learning Packet' which will be distributed on May 4.

1. Grading Information for the 2019-20 school year will be released today.

2. The 'Grab-And-Go Meal Program' will continue through the official end of the school year on May 22. Following that date, they will announce the details for the 'Summer Feeding Program'.

3. How TISD will complete the closure of the school year, along with details on End-of-Year ceremonies, will be specified to us by the Commissioner of Education in the coming weeks. Once they have that information, they will update you accordingly.
