The Weeknd stepped away from the 2016 Grammy Awards as a winner -- not once but twice.

The tuxedo-clad singer took home the golden gramophone for Best R&B Performance for his chart-topping smash "Earned It." The song sits on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack in addition to his sophomore album, Beauty Behind the Madness, which earned him the Best Urban Contemporary Album.

While this is the first time the Toronto native left the Grammys a winner, he's been nominated before. Abel Tesfaye landed a nod for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration due to his work on Wiz Khalifa's 2014 track "Remember You."

During the show, the Weeknd also performed his Billboard No. 1 hit “Can’t Feel My Face” along with a pianist for “In the Night.” Lauryn Hill was scheduled to perform with him but never made it out onstage during his set. A rep confirmed that the performance was supposed to be a surprise but due to the last minute rush it couldn't come to fruition.
