The Elks Lodge Send A Special Needs Kid To Camp is Saturday at the Texarkana Golf Ranch.

The Texarkana Elks Lodge 2771 is holding a 4 man golf scramble to send special needs kids to camp. The tournament will have a shotgun start at 9 AM at Texarkana Golf Ranch located at 7401 University Avenue.

The 4 man scramble format often is used at large-scale golf events, such as charity, corporate or pro-am outings. A prime advantage of a scramble is it allows players of all abilities to contribute to the team's success and helps speed play. Golfers who are new to the format can quickly learn the rules and terminology. The most common scramble format is for four players, but it can be used with fewer or more players.

After playing many scrambles myself, it is the most fun to be able to do this format in a tournament and it helps in making the tournament go quickly.
