Texarkana Heart Ball February 10
The American Heart Association will host its Texarkana Heart Ball at the Northridge Country Club on February 10.
The Texarkana Heart Ball is a celebration of creating and sharing. The evening celebrates the work and mission the donors and volunteers,and most importantly,the lives saved and improved because of everyone’s effort.
The Heart Ball promises to be an engaging evening of fun and passion bringing community and philanthropic leaders together. Last year, the Heart Ball campaign raised just over $51 million nation-wide allowing the American Heart Association to fund over $123 millon of research and programs across the country and in your community
The American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest, largest voluntary organization devoted to fighting cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
Founded by six cardiologists in 1924, the organization now includes more than 22.5 million volunteers and supporters working tirelessly to eliminate these diseases. They fund innovative research, fight for stronger public health policies and provide lifesaving tools and information to save and improve lives.
The nationwide organization includes 144 local offices and nearly 2,700 employees. It moved its national headquarters from New York to Dallas in 1975 to be more centrally located. The American Stroke Association was created as a division in 1997 to bring together the organization’s stroke-related activities.
