Texarkana Has Some of the Cheapest Gas in The State

It’s hard to believe but it's true. Gas prices in Texarkana have been slowly dropping over the past couple of weeks.

According the the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com, gas prices in Texarkana are three cents per gallon lower this week. The lowest reported gas price in Texarkana is at Murphy USA where a gallon will set you back $1.90. The cheapest gas in the state is $1.77 in Houston, for a statewide average of $2.06 per gallon.

Nationally, gas prices were also down just over three cents per gallon for an average of $2.23 per gallon.

South Carolina has the lowest average gas prices in the country at $1.91 per gallon. Three states now are back under the $2 mark for an average price for a gallon on gas. They are South Carolina, Oklahoma and Mississippi.
