Texarkana Area COVID-19: By The Numbers – December 31

Bowie County reports 29 new cases bringing the total to 2,907 cumulative positive COVID-19 cases, with 1 additional death since our last report for a total of 120. The Department of State Health Services is reporting an additional 980 probable cases with a total of 3347 estimated recoveries.

Cass County added 10 new cases, for a total of 870, 408 probable cases with 1196 of those recovered, 33 active cases and 4 new death for a total of 49.

Miller County reports 2733 cumulative cases, 220 active cases, 2488 recovered cases and a total of 25 COVID-19 related deaths. (12/31/20)

Through the end of the year, free testing will be offered Monday- Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Texarkana- Bowie County Family Health Center at 902 W. 12th Street, Texarkana, TX 75501. There are no requirements for testing (residency included), oral swab with results in 48-96 hours, and pre-registration available at www.gogettested.com.
