Should volunteering a VBS be considered as time spent helping out in the community? There is a business in town that says NO. Jamie, a listener, said that her company requires employees to spend a certain amount of time volunteering in the community but when she turned in her hours at vacation bible school in her church she was denied. If she cleaned up trash on the side of the road that would be okay but time spent helping our youngsters find their way in the church would not qualify as community service.

Trash – yes…God – no. What do you think she should do?
