Rethink Purity Teenage Event

This weekend I had a chance to do a little volunteer work at my church in Atlanta. They had an event for local teens from 7th to 12th grade at the Atlanta high school where teens got a chance to listen to live bands on Friday and Saturday and hear a great pair of speakers. The Rethink Teen Purity event features a husband and wife team Dan and Nicole Leitz from San Diego. Before serving lunch I had a chance to listen to the couple do separate presentations for the guys and girls. Here is a startling fact for you , the adult film industry makes more money than all of the pro sports combined. With this this information in hand it is easy to understand how some people may view their relationships and their effect on how women are treated. Each speaker had their own take on the subject from how to treat girls in high school, and how they react to what men do and how boys can be held accountable for their actions. The conference offed a real high tech way to text in your questions in so you could do it anonymously. It was a great conference and had very useful information for the kids to take with them. I would like to thank Jason Gaston for inviting me and the First United Methodist Church in Atlanta for helping make this event happen.
