Opening Dates of Water Parks That Are an Easy Drive From Texarkana

Even though we haven't reached summer temperatures yet, the warm days we've experienced in Texarkana recently have been a reminder that the hot days of summer will soon be here.

Something adults and kids alike look forward to on hot days is a cool escape to a water park. We are fortunate to have a water park here in Texarkana, but on those weekends when you just want to head out of town, I found a few other water parks that are just a short drive away. Here are the opening dates and contact information for several locations, starting with ours here in Texarkana:

Magic Springs - located at 1701 E. Grand Avenue in Hot Springs, Ark. The theme park is open only weekends through May 14. Water Park opens Saturday May 13. Theme park and water park open every day starting weekend of May 20. Call (501) 624-0100.

Splash Kingdom - Located at 18814 I-20, Canton, Texas. The 2017 Season opening day is Saturday, May 27. Season Passes are on sale now. Call (903) 567-0044.

Diamond Springs Water Park at Crater of Diamonds State Park - 209 State Park Road Murfreesboro, Ark. Opens Memorial Day on Monday, May 29.
