There are plenty of reasons we can’t wait for 2017 to end and 2018 to begin, not the least of which is that this year has felt like, 20 years long. Thankfully, movies have kept us sane and happy throughout this garbage fire, and they’ll continue to do so in 2018, giving us not one, not two, but three new adventures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe — including the studio’s biggest film yet, Avengers: Infinity War, which assembles the series’ largest ensemble of superheroes (and villains) to date.

As teased at the end of Ragnarok, that includes the Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor, and you can get a sneak peek at the pairing in this new image from Infinity War — courtesy of USA Today:

It’s not the best quality (hey man, take it up with USA Today), but it is an interesting photo: Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) are seen tending to a wounded Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Judging by the first trailer for Infinity War, I highly doubt Mantis is giving the ol’ thunder god a new eyeball.

Infinity War pits the Avengers & Co. against their most formidable foe yet: Thanos. Played by Josh Brolin, the big purple titan has finally gotten his lazy butt up out of that space chair to take matters — and the Infinity Stones — into his own hands. Joining the fight against Thanos are, well, everyone. It’s easier to list off who isn’t in this movie — primarily Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), both of whom will appear in Larson’s solo film.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
