Nelly's cruise through Tennessee on his tour bus ended in handcuffs on Saturday morning (April 11).

The "Hot in Herre" rapper was traveling through the southern state when a state trooper pulled over the vehicle because a proper U.S. Department of Transportation and International Fuel Tax Association sticker was not displayed. A search of the bus, which Nelly and five other people were riding in, after the police officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle turned up "five colored crystal-type rocks that tested positive for methamphetamine, as well as a small amount of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia," CNN reports.

The 40-year-old rhymer, born Cornell Haynes, Jr., has been charged with felony possession of drugs, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In addition to authorities finding drugs on his tour bus, several handguns were also found. A gold-plated .50-caliber Desert Eagle pistol, a .45-caliber Taurus pistol and a .500 Smith & Wesson magnum turned up in the search along with 100 small Ziploc bags usually used to sell narcotics.

According to Nelly's lawyer, Scott Rosenblum, his client is not linked to any of the illegal substances found. Rosenblum is "extremely confident that when the facts come out, Nelly will not be associated with the contraband that was allegedly discovered." He claims 15 to 20 people had access to the bus before state troopers pulled them over.

Brian Jones, a passenger on the bus, was also arrested for possession of a handgun, TMZ reports.

The St. Louis native was on his way to his hometown prior to his arrest.
