Three East Texas girls that went missing last summer have been found in a pond near Atlanta, Texas in Cass County.

According to a report from KTBS 3, an investigation is now underway on the deaths of three siblings' 9-year-old Zi'Ariel Oliver, 5-year-old Temari Oliver, and 8-year-old Amiyah Hughes. The bodies were discovered in a pond on private property just off State Highway 7, on July 30, 2022, at approximately 2 AM in the morning.
The deaths are being treated as a homicide due to evidence of possible strangulation. According to the Cass County District Attorney's Office. The mother of the children was working so their cousin, Paris Propps was responsible for watching the kids. On July 29, 2022, Propps reported that the girls were missing around 9 PM.
An autopsy was performed on all three girls and the report shows that the girls had lacerations on their faces and evidence that shows the girls were strangled.

The District Attorney's Office reports that a DNA test is still ongoing and several witnesses have given statements. Three other siblings were found in their home unharmed at the time of the incident.
