Lady Chazz and the Tramps Friday Night
The 2013 East Texas Music Awards R&B / Soul Group Of The Year, Lady Chazz and the Tramps, will be in Texarkana this weekend. The group will appear at Fat Jack's Friday Night.
Check out Lady Chazz and the Tramps.
Lady Chazz, lead vocals and keyboards, began her musical career in San Diego singing backup with her father as a child and then, as an "Otisette" with the Johnny Otis Revue. She then began touring the globe performing with Big Joe Turner, Chubby Checker, Little Richard and many more. She also has the distinction of working with Tina Turner for a time in her late teens. In the early '80s she formed her own group, "The Chaztity Girls," which was the opening act for many recording artists including the Bobby Blue Bland, War, Midnight Star and Big Daddy Kane. When you come see Lady Chazz, you are in for a night you won't soon forget!
Daddy Rich, lead vocals and keyboards, began his musical career in Daingerfield, Texas as a teenager with a duet called "Night and Day." In the early '70s he joined the Navy and during his naval career was a pivotal member in a musical quartet called "The 2+2." This group performed with the Navy's 7th Fleet Band touring the West Coast, Far East, Australia and Western Pacific.
Daddy Rich is an accomplished vocalist in his own right and without his experience and guidance, the Tramps would simply not be the same group it is today.
The backbone of Lady Chazz and the Tramps is composed of three musicians who are well known throughout the Ark-La-Tex music circuit. Kenneth Brackeen, drums, Mickey Miller, bass, and Jimmy Piatt, guitar, have all been involved for many years, each bringing their own unique style to the forefront while providing a solid foundation for Lady and Daddy to shine in their unparalleled element.
