It looks like Kevin Hart is on the mend after being involved in a serious car accident over Labor Day Weekend. The comedian underwent back surgery for the injuries he sustained during the crash, and though he's still in the hospital a source told Entertainment Tonight that the 40-year-old is "recovering and feeling OK," and that his spine was thankfully not affected.

Hart's wife Eniko gave fans an update on her husband's condition Monday (September 2). "He's great," she said in a video taken by TMZ. "He's going to be just fine. He's good. Everybody's good, thank God."

The accident occured in the wee hours of Sunday morning (September 1), when Hart's 1970 Plymouth Barracuda ran off Mulholland Highway, drove through some fencing, rolled over and was found in a ditch in Malibu. The actor was a passenger, along with his wife's personal trainer Rebecca Broxterman. Her fiancée Jared S. Black was driving the vehicle. Though Broxterman only sustained minor injuries, Black and Hart were both rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

A number of celebrities have shared their well wishes to Hart via social media, including his Jumanji co-star Dwayne Johnson. "Stop messing with my emotions brother @kevinhart4real. We have a lot more laughing to do together. Love you man. Stay strong 🙏🏾" he posted on Instagram alongside a film still from Jumanji.
