When Kelly Clarkson said that she was eloping with her fiance, Brandon Blackstock, and hardly anyone would be in attendance when they tied the knot, she wasn't kidding: her own mom wasn't even invited.  But, as most moms are, Kelly's is very understanding about her daughter's decision.

Speaking to Celebuzz, Kelly's mom, Jeanne Taylor, says she was quite aware of how crazy her daughter's schedule was for the next few months, so she totally got why the singer was feeling so overwhelmed and decided to not to go ahead with a big wedding.

"She was so afraid we might be upset," says Taylor. "But we were fine with it...I had known that she was under a lot of stress. And we just wanted her to be happy and not stressed out...I think the biggest thing for us to do was to allow her to do what she wanted to do.”

Taylor says that even though she wasn't there, at least she'll get to see Kelly's whole wedding video the singer posted a taste of it online earlier this week and adds that her daughter told her that she was happy nobody was there to see her anyway, because she "cried through the whole thing."

As for the couple's future, Taylor predicts a successful marriage for them, and grandkids for her. "They fit very well together. He’s low-key and so is she," she tells Celebuzz. "They’ll do very well together. I think she’ll make a great mom. I know she’s been trying really hard with Brandon’s kids and they all really get along...They’ll make a good expanded family...That is the next thing on the list."
