Everyone loves a parade, especially a Christmas parade with all the floats and lights and of course, Santa Claus. Now is the time to start planning for several parades in our area this holiday season that will be happening in just a couple of weeks.

I have put together a list of hometown Christmas parades you do not want to miss. These small-town parades are some of the best every year.

Dec. 3, 5:30 PM - Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Parade. This year’s theme is “Christmas Movies”, and it is sure to be an entertaining show. All floats will be decorated as a favorite holiday movie.
Dec. 3, 6:30 PM - New Boston Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Parade. This year the theme is a "Nutcracker Christmas," with carriage rides, hot chocolate, cookies, a movie, crafts, and at the pavilion following the parade.

Dec. 3, 6 PM - Little River Chamber of Commerce Annual Foreman Christmas Parade
Dec. 5, 6 PM - Little River Chamber of Commerce Annual Ashdown Christmas Parade

Dec. 5, 7 PM - 38th Annual Main Street Texarkana Christmas Parade. This year's theme is all things trains T-Town Express, all lighted floats will have a train theme. Live camels, bands, and Santa Claus highlight this festive parade in downtown Texarkana.

Dec. 6 -  9th annual Redwater Hometown Christmas is going back to their old ways of celebrating with the parade starting at the ballpark and ending at the elementary school. Christmas carols will be sung by the kids and the junior class and they will be doing a food fundraiser as well. This year's theme is "Christmas in Candyland."
