CHRISTUS St. Michael Rehabilitation Hospital Earns Coveted National Accreditation

Way to go CHRISTUS St. Michael Rehabilitation Hospital. It's a big congratulations as they just earned the coveted three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

They won this for going above and beyond in meeting and exceeding the set standards of services for improved service outcomes, patient satisfaction and quality service delivery.

Kristine Bell, Administrative Director for Nursing at CHRISTUS St. Michael Rehabilitation Hospital said in a press release,

CARF is the gold standard for the inpatient rehabilitation industry.

CHRISTUS St. Michael Rehabilitation Hospital is now the only CARF-accredited facility in Texarkana.

The process is almost a year-long survey that includes an on-site visit by expert practitioners selected by CARF. After the survey portion of the process is finished the CARF writes up a report of the strengths and areas for improvement of the facility.

Sheree Potter, rehabilitation director said,

Earning this accreditation signifies our commitment to meeting and exceeding the internationally accepted standards of care for the patients we see.

Not only that but there were two individual rehab programs that received the 3 year CARF. Congratulations to the Stroke Specialty Program and Amputation Specialty Program accreditation.
