If You See This Cute Arkansas Critter Dancing, You Better Run!
If you live in or near the Naural State of Arkansas, then chances are you like to go hunting, camping, hiking, or biking, hitting the great outdoors in some way is one of our favorite pastimes. There are dangers, and one of those dangers dances around in a cute and cuddly fur coat. Oh, if you witness this amazing dance, you better run.
This cute and funny behavior belongs to none other than the spotted skunk, and yes we have those in Arkansas. They can also be found in Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and apparently Arizona.
According to the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Plains Spotted Skunk (Spilogale interrupta), can be found all throughout the middle of the country. So, why should you run if you see one doing its special dance? Because it might be taking aim, at you.
Wanna See The Dance?
You know you do, because it's funny, unless, of course, it's aiming that skunky stink at you. Good news, you are safe here thanks to an X (Twitter) account and a game cam at Saguaro National Park in Arizona:
Yep, the spotted skunk, it's cute, it's furry, it does a funny dance... and you just might regret seeing that dance in the wild, so, keep your eyes open and always be prepared... to RUN!
