The new center is a primary hospice location for inpatient hospice services. "This is an entirely new service and concept for our community," said Cindy Marsh, Executive Director of Hospice of Texarkana. "Normally a patient stay is four to five days and they receive the highest level of intense hospice care. The patient usually comes to us from the hospital after they have been treated for an acute medical condition. We get involved to focus on managing the symptoms associated with that condition so the patient can go home. We also train the caregivers to manage the symptoms."

The Inpatient Care Center has 12 private rooms with private patios and a couple of common areas for families to enjoy as well as outdoor spaces.

You will have a chance to meet Maggie Grace at the center too. She visits patients, gives comfort to families and brightens everyone's day just by her adorable presence.
