With everyone being asked to stay indoors these days because of the coronavirus many of you may be beginning to get a little cabin fever. Playgrounds and Pavilions are closed but for now, parks remain open for walking or hiking in some areas of the natural state.

There's nothing more refreshing than getting a little mountain air in the great outdoors to help lift your spirit. Of course, you may want to check with park officials before you make a road trip just in case something has changed.

In Arkansas, there are so many state parks with an abundance of hiking trails from the most difficult to some of the easiest to take in the beauty of the spring season. One of my favorites is the Lost Valley Trail, located near the town of Kingston. This trail is approximately two miles long which means you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the Ozarks without wearing yourself completely out. You will be amazed by all the stunning wildflowers, plants, and animals you will see along the trail, including a 53-foot waterfall known as "Eden Falls."

About a couple of years ago PopSugar released a list of the best places to hike in each state 50 States of Glorious Hiking Destinations." For Arkansas, it was the Lost Valley Trail.

So, when you start getting a little stir crazy from staying indoors, this may be just what the doctor ordered. Stay healthy y'all!
