I crossed paths with a group of train-hopping musicians who had just been kicked off the train in Ashdown, Ark. Their story was interesting and I caught it on camera.

Traveling "hobo" style is something that most of us have never done much less seen so I found it to be quite interesting when I saw four adults and a dog piled in the bed of a small pickup truck. I knew I had to talk to them before they moved on. Not only did I get an impromptu interview, I also enjoyed a song from the back of a pickup truck.

I met Dez and her dog Syd with three other musicians as they traveled through Texarkana, Ark., headed to New Orleans. Their main mode of transportation is freight train. They had just been booted off a train in Ashdown so they caught a ride in the back of a small pickup truck.

Brett aka "Too Tall," Nicholas and Matt were all traveling with Dez and her dog Syd. They are from all over the country -- from California to New York. I'm not sure how they all met but the next time I get a chance to talk to the group, I will get more details. I checked with Dez through Facebook Messenger and she said they made it to New Orleans.
