Garage Sale May 2-4 To Benefit Samaritan’s Purse

The First Baptist Church Golden Circle class will hold its Summer Garage sale fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 2 through the 4th at 1901 College Drive in Texarkana Texas. The event will benefit the Samaritan's Purse "Operation Shoe Box" which is a  collection that delivers gift-filled shoe boxes and ministry material for children in more than a hundred 50 countries around the world.

The garage sale will include furniture, home decor, household items, and glassware. There will be a wide variety of other items that will be displayed in two buildings for sale to the public.

All proceeds raised from this fundraiser will go towards processing and shipping cost to send out these shoeboxes. Last year they were able to send out over 9300 boxes. This is one of many ways you can help children who are affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, famine, and disease. Many of these children have never received a gift before.
