Everyone loves good old fashion fairytales but how about seeing one of the truly classic stories on ice? That's exactly what is happening this weekend at Hempstead Hall in Hope, Arkansas.

Southwest Arkansas Arts Council and Hempstead Hall present Fairytales on Ice: Beauty & the Beast this Friday evening February 24 and the fun all starts at 7 PM.

This is the classic Beauty and the Beast but with a fantastic twist. You'll see champion ice skaters and cirque performers tell the story like you have never seen before. The show will have lights, special effects and great music and singing.

This is a wonderful story for the whole family. According to IMDB;

Having lived a life in selfishness, young Prince Adam is cursed by a mysterious enchantress to having the appearance of a monstrous beast. His only hope is to learn to love a young woman and earn her love in return in order to redeem himself.

Belle trades places with her dad to become the 'Beast's' prisoner. She eventually sees that the beast has a heart and falls in love with him. But the story doesn't end there. Plus you'll see favorite characters from other beloved fairytales.
