The Texarkana USA Regional Chamber of Commerce is inviting everyone to come out and hav fun at the Small Business Expo Thursday, October 15, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Main Street in Texarkana.

The event will take place in front of the Perot Theatre and Pecan Point. The evening will consist of 30 vendor booths, a food truck, music from the Kicker truck and a mayor competition.

The mayor competition will kick off around 5:30. Both mayors will challenge each other in a game of corn hole, pumpkin bowling, pie eating and steer roping. Whew... I hope they get a good night's rest beforehand. Bets will be taken and all money collected will be donated to a local charity.

Mike Malone, president of the Texarkana USA Chamber of Commerce said the following in a news release:

Our goal for the Small Business Expo is to connect business with each other and the community in fun environment.

Natalie Haywood, events and communications director shared the following in a news release:

If you're looking to network, grab a bite to eat or entertain your kids, then make your way downtown Thursday evening. We've had great response to the event, so we're really looking forward to the community showing up and showing out.
