Cat Show in Little Rock This Weekend, It’s a Cat Lovers Dream
Have you ever been to a cat show before? If you love cats, then you are going to love this. It's the first cat show to hit Little Rock in close to19 years. It's the Arkansas Feline Fanciers Cat Show.
What to Expect at a Cat Show
So what can you expect to see at this new cat show? Cats of all different breeds in different categories will compete in 6 different shows going on simultaneously.
Pedigreed Competition
Cats will be judged on the standard of the best examples of the breed.
Household Cats
Household pet Competition (non-pedigreed cats) Since there is no breed standard, these cats are judged on their appearance, grooming, health, and personality.
Agility Competition
Then the fun Agility Competition where cats will run an obstacle course. I know dogs can do that but have you ever tried to train a cat? I can only imagine the fun of this competition when a cat starts to show his or her cat 'attitude'.
Costume Contest
They will also have a fun cat costume contest which is sure to be fun if you've ever tried to dress a cat for a holiday. Cats don't think it's very fun at all but we do when we see their look of disgust on their face. Just try not to laugh too hard.
Oh and if you are interested in adopting a cat there will be rescue organizations with cats looking for their Furever homes.
The Arkansas Feline Fanciers Cat Show will be at the Hall of Industry at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds Saturday, February 19 from 9 AM to 5 PM or until judging ends.
