Burn Ban Issued For Our LIstening Area

Almost all of the Power 95-9 listening area is currently under a burn ban. The ban is in effect because of the dry and hot conditions.

In East Texas, there is a  total of 176 counties currently with an active burn ban. Here are the ones in our listening area:

Bowie
Morris
Cass
Marion
Harrison
Upshur
Greg
Rusk
In Arkansas there are 12 counties under burn ban, 10 of which are within our listening area:

Miller
Pike
Lafayette
Columbia
Nevada
Hempstead
Howard
Dallas
Union
Ouachita

Currently, there are no Oklahoma counties in our listening area that are under a burn ban. The ban will stay in place until we get some rainfall to alleviate the dangerously dry conditions.
