Update: Inmate That Escaped in Texarkana is Now in Custody
Here's an update as of 8:25 AM this morning: The escaped inmate Kylon Chevon Clark has been located and is back in custody.
According to a press release from the Bowie County Sheriff's Office:
Update: Inmate Clark has been located and is back in custody. Thank you to the Hooks, New Boston, Nash, Wake Village and Texarkana Police Departments for their assistance in searching for Clark. A special thank you Texas Department of Corrections Telford Canine Unit for bringing out their search dog to aid in this search as well.
Earlier this morning:
A prisoner has escaped early this morning (Wednesday, November 10) during a transfer of prisoners from the Bi-State Jail to the Annex Jail. He was able to run off and police have not been able to locate him. Police actively looking for 20-year-old Kylon Chevon Clark If you see this man please call 911 immediately.
The Texarkana Texas Police Department, the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department and the Bowie County Sheriff's Office have searched the area but he is still at large. According to a press release from the Bowie County Sheriff's Office:
This took place around 3 AM in downtown Texarkana as staff from the Bowie County Jail were transferring inmates from the Bi-State Jail to the Annex Jail. While loading inmates in a van in the basement of the Bi-State Building Inmate Kylon Chevon Clark took off running. Inmate Clark was able to make it out of the basement. Sergeant Zacherias Price chased Inmate Clark, but eventually lost sight of him around 4th and Main Streets.
Kylon Chevon Clark is described as a black male, standing at 5’8” and around 150 pounds, 20 years of age from Hooks, Texas. He was wearing a blue jail inmate uniform when he escaped, he was also handcuffed.
Investigators with the Bowie County Sheriff's Office were called in to start following up on additional leads. If you or anyone you know has any information about where Clark is please call 911 or the Bowie County Sheriff's Office at (903) 798-3149.
