Women rule on Amazon.com.  The online retailer has just has tabulated its all-time sales figures, and female pop stars dominate the lists of the music that has sold the most copies in Amazon.com's history.

The best-selling CD of all time on Amazon is Adele's 21, followed by Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream, and the soundtrack of the musical Wicked.  The best-selling digital album of all time on the site, however, is Lady Gaga's Born This Way. Of course, that's partly due to the fact that the week of its release, Amazon discounted it to just 99 cents, resulting in huge sales numbers.

Other top digital albums in the six years that Amazon has been offering them: Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More, The Lumineers' self-titled disc, and Adele's 21.

Amazon's best-selling digital song of all time is Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe," followed by Gotye's "Somebody that I Used to Know," and "We Are Young" by fun. featuring Janelle Monae.
