10 Things to Do This Summer in Texarkana With the Kids

A large area for trampolines, dodgeball, basketball dunking lanes, a Ninja course with three skill levels, air bags, air hockey games and much more. The kids can literally bounce off the walls.

Texarkana's Cinemark Theatre has matinee showings that will save money as well as other discount options including reduced costs for drinks and snacks if you join their club.

The Rotary Splash Pad is located in Spring Lake Park. Loads of free fun for the kids to play in the water to cool off with plenty of shady areas for parents to sit close by and watch without getting wet. Holiday Springs Water Park is located in the Arkansas side of Texarkana and has several water slides, a lazy river to float, the wave pool is great fun and my favorite is the Texarkana Splash Mountain which is a big playground in water.

G-Force is new to Texarkana. It is a trampoline park and Ninja course complex. It is a large place with lots of jumping fun and obstacle courses to wear the kids out.

Starlight Golf and Arcade is located at the north entry of Central Mall with plenty of air conditioning to keep everyone cool while playing games. They have retro games and new age games. The back area of the arcade has a black light mini-golf course.

Fun Country Park is just a couple of miles north of Texarkana and offers miniature golf, go carts for the big kids, and little kids too, batting cages, rock wall, and even paintball. Fun Country is a great place to go with packages for the entire park, and birthday packages available as well. They even have BBQ grills available too.

The Texarkana Museums System has a wonderful Discovery Center where children can see giant prehistoric animal murals and explore in the living science laboratory of health, sound, motion, electricity, astronomy and other sciences. Children can play in replicas of a 1900 general store and a 1920 kitchen. There is a dress-up room, puppet theatre and a special toy area. Kids can spend a lot of fun time at the interactive sound wall. There is a $5 fee for this center.
