I was not a perfect child, no where close. I'm sure there are many things I could choose from in the list of regretted moments of growing up but there is one thing in particular that I can remember like it was yesterday.

My dad was out of town for extended periods of time and my mom worked six days a week. I was the last child of six left at home, the rest had grown up and moved out years before. That left me a lot of leeway to do my own thing. Many times that wasn't always the best choice. I was 17 going on 27 years of age. This particular Saturday night or more like Sunday morning, it was quiet at my house. I assumed it would be like the other weekend nights that I came strolling in well past the curfew hour of 11PM. I slowly turned the door knob, glided the door open, stepped through and quietly closed the door. When I turned around there both my parents sat staring at me. Busted! I regret that it made my mom look bad, as if she couldn't keep me in line while my dad was gone.

I could probably go on and on listing the things I regret doing as a teenager but I'd rather hear your stories than reveal all my dirty deeds. Tell me what you most regret and if I can use it while leaving out your identity of course.
