Unemployed Job Seekers Being Discriminated Against
If you hate your job and are thinking of getting a new one, better find a new job first. Don't just quit without a job lined up. It will be much easier to get a new job if you already have a job. According to a new study from researchers at the University of California-Los Angeles, employers look down on and discriminate against job seekers who are unemployed.
Study author Geoffrey Ho explained, "All things being equal, unemployed applicants are viewed as less competent, warm and hire-able than employed individuals. And, it doesn't matter if they quit or were fired. Both face the same stigma."
No matter how bad it is, look for a job before you give up the one you currently have. If it is too late and you need help to job search, check out this websites for advice.
