The 6th Annual Twice as Fine Texarkana Wine Festival, chosen as the Best Charity Event in Texarkana, benefiting the Alzheimer’s Alliance Tri-State Area, has been postponed in the wake of the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) concern.

The event, originally scheduled for May 2nd at Spring Lake Park in Texarkana, TX, will move to Saturday, October 10, 2020.  Festival Chairs, Cathy and Mark Van Herpen and the Alzheimer's Alliance Tri-State Board President, John Ross, cited concerns about the possible health risks because of the ongoing novel coronavirus (COVID-19) spread.  “The decision was not taken lightly or without consideration of many factors,” Cathy Van Herpen said. “Our top priority is to protect the health of the entire community.” Van Herpen continued, “while this decision comes at a time of universal uncertainty, we take the safety and health of our 10,000+ guests, volunteers, and community very seriously." Alzheimer's Alliance Board President John Ross stated, "We urge everyone to be diligent in following guidance and best practices from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)".

Sponsorships, vendor booths, and ticket purchases will be honored at the rescheduled event.
