We all know how good our restaurants are in the south, but it sure is a fun surprise when food critics from New York like our food too. The New York Times recently made a list of the top 50 restaurants across the country. guess what? A restaurant from Arkansas made the list and three from Texas made the list too!

Austin, Texas 

Canje located in Austin is known for its owner's Guyanese roots and mixed with a Caribbean flair. The name comes from the Canje pheasant, which is the national bird of Guyana. If you love Jerk Chicken then you'll really need to check this place out.

Yeyo Mexican Food with Soul, This restaurant is located at in Bentonville, Arkansas. Named after the owner who has a small farm that actually supplies produce for the restaurant and two popular food trucks. The cuisine first started as food from the family's native Michoacan then broadened to the flavors and dishes all across Mexico.
