Texas A&M-Texarkana’s Sharpnack-Isom Scores Player of the Week Honors For Second Time
Samantha Sharpnack-Isom of Texas A&M University-Texarkana brought home the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award for October 2 - October 8, the RRAC announced on Monday. This is Sharpnack-Isom’s second time to earn the honor this season.
According to a press release, Sharpnack-Isom accounted for five goals and assisted on a goal in a 2-0 week for the Eagles. The senior forward delivered all five of her goals in a 7-1 victory over Huston-Tillotson University of Austin on Thursday. The Eagles then defeated Our Lady of the Lake University 1-0 in San Antonio over the weekend.
Sharpnack-Isom, a native of Round Rock, Texas, was a RRAC All-Conference First Team selection last year. She now leads the RRAC in points (35) and goals (14). A&M-Texarkana climbed to 2-2 in the conference and 7-5 overall.
