Memorial Day Weekend can be a lot of fun on the lakes in Texas, until it isn't. Texas Game Wardens are reminding everyone to be safe on the lakes as you celebrate the holiday weekend.
Even though I'm a native Texan and have lived in East Texas since I was a tween, I wasn't aware of that. I found it particularly interesting given that we live in such a lake-centric area. I love getting out on one of our East Texas lakes and feeling the daily stresses just start to slide off my psyche that butter on a hot roll.
Lakes in Texas and in other states are getting infested with these creepy-looking things. They attach themselves to boats and hitch a ride to infest other lakes. But what are they and how do you stop them?
Summer in our corner of Texas and Arkansas can get a little toasty, but there are plenty of great lakes that are just a short drive from our area that are really worth checking out.
