The petition to repeal the Advertising and Promotions Tax in Texarkana Arkansas has been deemed unacceptable and will not be on the ballot this coming November.
Texarkana Arkansas Mayor N. Wayne Smith called for a special meeting Monday before the city Board of Directors meeting to announce that he will not seek re-election to the office of Mayor.
It is being reported that 69 pages of signatures have been received by Texarkana Arkansas City Hall to place the repeal for the A&P tax of restaurant and hotel purchases on the November ballot.
At the Texarkana Arkansas City Board of Directors meeting Monday May 5, in A&P Commission business the city board reappointed Claude Moore and Debbie Haak, and dropped a bombshell on Mayor Wayne Smith.
