Are you a blood donor? LifeShare Blood Center in Texarkana is always out in the community looking for donations. There are a lot of places through the end of the month where you can donate and give the gift of life.

LifeShare is having a blood drive March 7 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Central Mall, 2400 Richmond Rd, Texarkana, Texas. All donors will be receiving a free T-shirt.

A pint for a pound--or actually a pound and a half. If you donate during the blood drive on Saturday at LifeShare Blood Center on College Drive you will get a good ole Cajun-style lunch of crawfish, corn and potatoes along with a super cool looking t-shirt! The "Crawl Walk or Run to Donate" blood drive is scheduled for this Saturday, March 29, from 8:30 a.m. til 4 p.m. at the LifeShare B

The annual Mash Bash Blood Drive wraps up today at LifeShare Blood Centers 1321 College Drive from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The blood supply is very low. This is an emergency appeal because LifeShare does not have the necessary blood units to meet the demand in our area hospitals.

Dylan Yowell is a 13-year old boy from El Dorado, Arkansas who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia a year ago. Because of his disease, he has required treatment that includes blood products. He is one of the many reasons that we should all donate blood as often as possible. My brother-in-law would not be here today if people did not donate blood. He was involved in an accident in 2000

There will be a blood drive at our local center on College Drive March 3rd through 12th. Donate and receive a limited edition Mardi Gras "Krewe of Life" T-Shirt.
