As most of you know the Salvation Army provides Emergency services and during this challenging time, they have gotten a lot of requests for food. So, the Salvation Army has made the decision to open a "Neighbor to Neighbor" Drive-Thru donation distribution center Friday, April, 17.

If you are like many people in the Ark-La-Tex who would like to do something to help the families affected by Hurricane Harvey, we got word today that David Alvis, owner of Silver Star Restaurants in Texarkana and Bossier City, LA., is setting up semi-trucks to be filled with donations and delivered to the hurricane ravaged areas.

Bag up your unworn shoes and bring them to PetSmart this weekend to help the shelter animals. Clean out those closets and look under your bed for shoes to donate to a great cause. Those old, still wearable shoes you will never wear again can help out a furry friend at the Animal Care and Adoption Center in Texarkana. The more shoes collected, the more money raised for the shelter.
