Governor Asa Hutchinson has ordered the United States flag and the flag of the State of Arkansas to be lowered to half-staff in tribute to the memory of Officer Kevin Collins of the Pine Bluff Police Department, who was killed in the line of duty on Monday, October 5, 2020. The flag shall be lowered immediately and remain at half-staff to the day of interment.

It's official, Arkansas public schools will begin the 2020-2021 school year the week of  August 24. The school year was originally planned to being August 13 but Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced during his daily press conference that school will be delayed almost two weeks and will begin August 24 and no later than August 26.

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson announced in his daily Press Conference yesterday that medical service providers can resume certain nonessential out-patient procedures, restricted during the COVID-19 health crisis, on April 27. The Arkansas Department of Health has issued certain requirements for hospitals and out-patient clinics to follow in order to re-engage elective procedures.
