Register for the Walk/Run For Life in Texarkana

The 19th Annual Walk, Run For Life to benefit First Choice Pregnancy Resource Center in Texarkana will be Saturday, May 5, in Spring Lake Park.Events this year walk, 5k, 10k and the 1-mile Fun Run for kids. Registration for the 5k and 10k starts at 7 AM and the races start at 7:30 AM. Awards will be given for first, second, and third place for male and female in each age category. There is even a stroller division.

Kristie Wright, Executive Director of First Choice Pregnancy Center said:

"The Walk/Run for Life is one of two major fundraisers we have each year. All funds stay in the community and go directly toward client services, and allow us to further our mission of empowering clients to choose life. Last year, we served over 1100 women and men and their children by providing free pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, prenatal and parenting classes, along with genuine, non-judgmental, peer support."

Walk registration begins at 7:30 AM, and there will be plenty of activities all morning. The one-mile Fun Run starts at 8 AM, and the walk starts at 9:30 AM after the awards ceremony.
