Congratulations to Zach Fowler the Pleasant Grove Associate Principal for being recognized by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) in being selected as the Region 8 Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year.

The TASSP Educational Service Center has 20 regions. By winning this region Zach Fowler is now to compete in the state-wide competition for Texas Assistant Principal of the Year. School administrators are nominated and chosen by their peers within each region.

Nominations are based upon exemplary performance and outstanding leadership.

According to a press release, Zach Fowler has five years of administrative experience with one year at Pleasant Grove Middle School.  He is a graduate of Southern Arkansas University and earned a Master of Education from Lamar University. Mr. Fowler is a graduate of the 2021 Leadership Texarkana class and is an active PGYA coach and Dixie Baseball coach.

All of the 20 region winners will be recognized during the Josten’s Night of the Stars Awards Ceremony held in conjunction with the TASSP Summer Conference and will each receive a commemorative book Texas Principals, Texas Heroes.
