It's time to nominate your favorite restaurant for the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame. All throughout the state, there are some great restaurants and now it's time to show them some love.

The nomination phase is now through October 31. There are several categories you can make nominations in;

Arkansas Food Hall of Fame  –  nominate a favorite long-standing restaurant.
Proprietor of the Year – this one honors a chef, cook or restaurant owner.

Food-Themed Event – This event is for a great community food-themed event or festival that celebrates a community’s food history.
Gone But Not Forgotten – We all have one of those restaurants that is missed so much by so many people.
People’s Choice – This category is for restaurants or food trucks, new, old and in between that keep us coming back for more.

Stacy Hurst the  Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism Secretary said in a press release;

“Food plays an integral role in our Arkansas history and heritage. Food is family; it’s home; it’s community; it spurs conversation; it creates memories. The Arkansas Food Hall of Fame facilitates storytelling around the food traditions, tastes and talent that give our state its unique food culture and customs.”

 

The official nominees will be announced in January 2023 and the winners will be announced in February.
