We've seen a lot of ugly exposed in this country over the past couple of years. But hear me when I tell you.... There are still some really good people in this world. So, Mother's Day weekend, I went home to be with my family. I had such a great time, by the way with my mom & grandmother.  After a few home cooked meals, laughs, and a whole lotta love, it was time for us to say our goodbyes and go home. I, of course, headed back to Texarkana. My grandmother, on the other hand, hit 259 in route back home to Mt. Enterprise. Instead of taking a right to  to travel south on Hwy. 259, she took a left and this is where the story gets good.

About three hours later, I get a call from the sweetest voice ever saying that my grandmother had accidentally driven to BROKEN BOW, OKLAHOMA in her quest to get home, and that she was safe, and they would be putting her up in a room for the night. What the what?!?! Wait a minute..... you mean to tell me that Big Mamma has driven to Oklahoma, and who are these really nice people on my phone with my grandmother.

Let me tell you about these really nice people... They live in Ochatown, Oklahoma. Their names are Claudette Holmes, Jo Carol, Deputy James Jackson, Stone Scroggins, and my new Facebook friend, Charles Benton. Not only did they get Big Mama settled in a hotel room, they also made sure she got some cokes, her favorite drink.

Had it not been for the good old folks of Ochtownk, Oklahoma, I could've easily never seen my grandmother again. And sadly, we wouldn't have known where to begin searching for her.  Needless to say, we went and got Big Mama... not a hair on her head harmed. She was in good spirit, but was a little scared that my mom (her daughter) was going to say she was "going crazy and gonna put in her in a nursing home". lol

Well there it is friends.... I won't share all the details of the story out of respect for Big Mama. However, if you needed reassurance in the dignity and genuine good heart of mankind... there it is.
