El Paso’s Mija Market Is Back With a Lowrider Car Show
The Mija’s are back with their annual Mija Market and this year’s market is not only celebrating local small business owners, but it’s also celebrating the lowrider community in El Paso!
If you’re looking for something fun to do with the whole family in El Paso, mark your calendar for the 6th Annual Mija Market, happening Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cowtown Boots Event Center.
The annual event hosted by Mija, Yes You Can is bringing together local shopping, food, music, family activities and plenty of community spirit and this year, there’s a special addition for car enthusiasts.
Lowriders Are Taking Center Stage
One of the highlights of this year’s Mija Market will be a lowrider car show, celebrating El Paso’s lowrider community and the culture, creativity and craftsmanship behind these iconic cars.
And if you want to take home a little piece of the celebration, Mija will have a limited-edition Low Rider Mija T-shirt available for purchase, along with its regular Mija merchandise.
Proceeds from all Mija merchandise sales go directly back into the Mija Foundation to help provide scholarships to women in our community.

Since Mija, Yes You Can was created in 2020, the organization has awarded more than $50,000 in scholarships to women in the El Paso community.
Mija, Yes You Can uses the proceeds from its fundraising efforts to help support its scholarship program, providing women in the community with financial assistance as they pursue their educational and career goals.

A Full Day of Live Music From El Paso Musicians
The music lineup is bringing a little something for everyone. The day will kick off with The Painted Velvets, a local kid rock band, followed by Los Chile Rellenos, who will bring the oldies to the stage. The celebration will wrap up with Mike Guerrero from 93.2 The Fox.
Mija Market will feature more than 30 vendors, giving shoppers the chance to discover local businesses, makers and entrepreneurs. There will also be food trucks, games and activities for kids, including a special Mija coloring station.

Introducing a Mija Kids Corner For The Kids To Stay Busy
Another new highlight for this year’s market will be a Mija coloring station. Kids can grab a set of specially designed Mija coloring sheets and get creative while families enjoy everything the market has to offer.
Admission is completely FREE! So whether you're there to shop, check out the cars, enjoy the music or just spend the day with your family, there will be plenty happening throughout the event.
